What is Massage Therapy

Massage is a therapy which aims to relax, revive and heal the body. 


By using my hands it helps to manipulate the soft tissues and muscles in the body, applying gentle or strong pressure to the muscles and joints.  


Massage therapy works to promote healing and enhance a person’s overall well-being.  It is used to treat a wide range of emotional and physical health problems.  


The origin of massage therapy:


The history of massage therapy dates back to 3000 BCE, in India, where it was considered a sacred system of natural healing.  This practice was passed down through generations to relieve pain, prevent illness and to heal injuries.  The believe is that illness and dis-ease are caused when people are out of sync with themselves and the environment.
